According to the report, He had allegedly asked students to together near the residence of Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad to demand the cancellation of offline exams for Classes 12 and 10 on Monday. He has been apprehended by the Dharavi police in connection with the students’ protest in Dharavi yesterday.
They were demanding online exams for the 10 and 12 classes, in view of Covid-19. Vikas Pathak had posted a clip of him on an Instagram account, likely inflaming students. The FIR has been registered against him under Multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including that rioting, Maharashtra Police Act, Disaster Management Act, and Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.
On the Basis of the available information, Iqrar Khan Vakhar Khan also has been arrested by Daharavi Police in the same matter. Several students were protesting on Monday afternoon at Ashok Mill Naka for their demands.
