The most popular television music competition that is created by British producer Simon Cowel and his company SYCOtv has announced to cancelled the show after 17 years. It began in the UK where it came up with a substitute for Pop Idol that aired from 2001 to 2003 in various countries. The name “X Factor” defines something that makes for status. The show was aired in 2004 and Simon spearheaded the series as one of the judges along with Louis Walsh and Sharon Osborne. Simon has also shared the iconic moments of 17 years of X-Factor.


Why is the X Factor Cancelled?

After the 2017 show, the X Factor has not returned to the United Kingdom and it was confirmed by the makers that the show will return this year. ITV has given a statement where they confirmed that there are no plans for the new series of X factor to be launched this year.

They said that the show has become slightly stale in UK so they decided to cancel it for this particular year. They said The Sun: ‘Simon will always be at too in this same as he knows how to make the show hit.

It’s his decision as he owns the show, not ITV’s. He wants X factor to buzz out with a whine and people can make fun of him when the shoe is pimped. I talk about the viewership, X-Factor started testing it last summer about it. In 2019, the show dropped to 2.9 million viewers in a live show and this was the lowest dip ever. Their live episode viewership was 3.73 million in 2019 as compared to the previous series. The show pushed its viewers over 14 million. The X Factor future is in the hands of Simon Cowell.

He is concentrating on a new game show which is called Walk The Line and viewers can see The X Factor UK in coming years. This will be the musical version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
