The authorities of Tuscaloosa found the body of the missing Garrett Walker who was studying at the University of Alabama. According to the Tuscaloosa police Chief Brent Blankley, Garrett’s body was found by divers in the Black Warrior River at around 4 PM on Tuesday, November 09, 2021. Garrett Walker had been missing from Tuscaloosa since Sunday morning.
The Tuscaloosa police posted on Facebook,” It is saddened to report that divers found the body of University of Alabama student Garrett Walker at around 4 PM today. We are heartbroken for the family and friends of Garrett and as well as everyone who is mourning the tragic loss”.
Who Was Garrett Walker?
According to the CBS Affiliate WIAT, the 20-years-old Garrett Walker last appeared in Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa at around 1 AM on Sunday. Along with this, his phone and clothes were also found in the Black Warrior River on Sunday after this, the police began their search in the water.
First, the crew used three boats, deployed drones and underwater sonar to locate Garrett inside the water. Garrett was just 20-years-old who has gone from this world too soon. It was heartbroken for his family and friends as they are suffering from trauma.
A brief news conference near the river’s edge took place in which Smith claimed Walker’s family and other students were informed. He stated that the investigation will continue. The Walker family expressed their grief over the loss of their young child who earned his pilot’s license. He attended the University of Alabama to follow the footsteps of his grandfather and began his study as an engineer.

The investigation officers restricted the entry near the location where Walker’s dead body was discovered from the river. Since the news of his demise went viral around the area, several people and students reached to the spot to pay tribute to the student.
