After a fierce gun battle between Haiti’s police and four suspected assassinators of President Jovenel Moïse, the assassinators were fatally shot by the police. Not only this but two other arrested related to the same case. The complete incident that everyone wants to know related to the encounter is here. So, President Jovenel Moïse was allegedly shot by some attackers at his home overnight on 7th July 2021. After that, a fierce encounter and gun battle ensues between the police and the attackers in which all the four attackers lost their lives. Sadly, the President also lost his life in this attack and Haiti’s police could not save him.
Haiti’s Police Chief Leon Charles said “We blocked them en route as they left the scene of the crime. Since then, we have been battling with them. They will be killed or apprehended”. Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph said security was controlled by the police and the military.
Haiti, America’s poorest country, has a history of dictatorship and political upheaval. Not only this but the country is mourning over the demise of the president as the assassinators complete the mission to kill the president of Haiti.
Let us tell you that Jovenel Moïse was a 53 years old former businessman who took office in 2017. The president was found dead in an attack by four assassinators who attacked his home in the hills above Port-au-Prince. In the attack, the attackers are successfully killed Jovenel Moïse while they also critically injured his wife Martine Moise.
All the assassinators were heavily armed and assailed opened fire on the couple at 1 AM. After the encounter, Haiti’s Ambassador to the US, Bocchit Edmond described the assassinators of the President. Not only this, but he further says them as well-trained professional commandos or foreign mercenaries.
Along with all the personalities, former President Michel Martelly called the assassination “A hard blow to our country and to Haitian democracy, which is struggling to find its way”. Many reputed personalities paying soulful tribute to the sudden assassination of president Jovenel Moïse because he was actually managing the entire country very well but now he lost his life in the dreaded attack.
The police also do the work very well and killed the four assassinators who killed the president on Wednesday, 7th July 2021. Two were arrested by the police and further investigation is going on to find more clues related to the incident.
