A recent release Pushpa has entertained everyone a lot. But, the movie also motivates a Bengaluru-based driver to attempt to smuggle red sandalwood in his truck in ‘real’ life. The man has been arrested who trying to smuggle sandalwood in the same manner as we see in Pushpa: The Rise. The name of the person is Yasin Inayithulla who was en route from the Karnataka-Andhra border to Maharashtra. He was trying to transport red sandalwood in his truck but the police caught him in the route and arrest the person.

Let us also tell you that the man has crossed the border but Maharashtra police at Gandhi Chowk, Meeraj Nagar, Sangli district arrested him. Talking about the worth of the products, the person was trying to smuggle, it is valued at Rs 2.45 crore. Along with it, the police also seized the truck of Rs. 10 Lakh. Now, further investigation is going on and the police trying to find every point of this case. The case is come to the fore after the release and success of Pushpa: The Rise movie which shows different ways to smuggle sandalwood.

Who is Yasin Inayithulla

Now, the man has been inspired by this movie and tried to smuggle sandalwood of Rs. 2.45 Crore. After the arrest, Sangli Superintendent of Police Dikshit Gedam said “We had received confidential information about illegal transportation of sandalwood. On the basis of this tip, we launched a joint operation with the forest officials and raided the Zakat Nakka. During this raid, we have seized a vehicle and arrested one accused. We got around 1 ton of sandalwood worth Rs 2.45 crore and the vehicle is worth Rs 10 lakh. We have registered a case under section 379, 34 of IPC and various sections of Forest Act have also been invoked”.

After being inspired by the movie, Yasin Inayithulla loaded his truck with red sandalwood first and then he put fruits and vegetable cartoons on it. Not only this, but he also stick a sticker of COVID-19 important products plastered on the vehicle. In January this year, the Nellore police arrested an inter-state gang involved in Red Sanders smuggling by raiding the Budhanam toll plaza in Chillakur Mandal on the Nellore-Chennai highway. Now, another person has been apprehended for trying to smuggle red sandalwood.
