A 24-year-old girl from Jammu and Kashmir has become the first-ever woman fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF) from Rajouri District. Mawya Sudan is commissioned into the IAF as a Flying Officer. She has become the 12th Woman officer appointed as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. She always wanted to be a fighter pilot as this was the only dream she has since her childhood. She has worked hard to achieve her goals. Maya’s grandmother has also stated that everyone in the village is happy when they learn the news. A parade held at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal Hyderabad, where the Air Chief Mr Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria also reviewed the combined graduation passing out parade.

In the end, her parents said that ” Maya achieved this through her hard work, focus, and passion. Each parent should support their children to achieve their goals and encourage them to fulfil their dreams.
