Former Colombian professional football player, Freddy Rincon grabbed the attention of his all fans after he was badly injured in the car and bus collision. According to the sources, the former footballer is in critical condition with severe head injuries after being involved in a car and bus crash in the city of Cali. Along with Rincon, four other people in the Rincon’s car were also injured following the collision with a bus. The mishap took place at around 04:30 AM, Monday, April 11, 2022. The local authorities also said that the bus driver was also hurt. The authorities reviewed the CCTV footage of the entire incident.
Freddy Rincon was driving the car when the incident took place and four other was also with him on the passenger seats. A 55-years-old Read Madrid, and Napoli former player, was rushed to the hospital suffering from a severe head injury said Dr Laureano Quintero of the Imbanaco Grupo Quironsalud clinic in the Southern City of Cali. After being rushed to the hospital, he underwent almost three hours of surgery before being transferred to the Intensive Care in a very critical condition.

The Clinica Imbanaco statement said,” Freddy Eusebio Rincon arrived in hospital this morning with a traumatic brain injury. His condition is very critical”. While, the director at the Cali hospital, Laureano Quintero added,” His condition is very serious, taking into consideration the findings in the surgery”. The football federation of Colombia, the FCF and his former club Real Madrid sent messages to support the 55-years-old Rincon on social media.
The statement said,” The Colombian football federation sends all their strength and support to former player Freddy Rincon. We wish you a speedy recovery and that with God’s help you overcome this difficult situation”. While, the Real Madrid’s statement reads,” From Real Madrid, all of our strength and affection for Freddy Rincon following the accident he was involved in today. We send our encouragement and we hope that he overcomes this difficult moment as soon as possible”.

He is one of the most popular and Colombia’s golden generation, who led the national side to three consecutive men’s World Cups in 1990, 1994, and the 1998 while he played alongside the likes of Carlos Valderrama and Faustino Asprilla.
