A 30-years-old rapper, Jeffery Lamar Williams, better known as Young Thug has grabbed the headlines on every news channel after he was arrested by police and booked into the Fulton County Jail on gang-related charges, according to the online jail records. According to the sources, he was arrested on Monday on two separate counts. The jail records share that he was charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and participation in street gang activity. Since his arrest was made, his fans and loved ones are leaving their reaction on social media and want to know every detail of the incident.
The Williams’ RICO Act charges were raised from an alleged offense in January 2013 while the activity of the gang charges is related to the allegations from May 2018, as per the jail records. The rapper was taken into custody by Atlanta police but the authorities didn’t share much information about his arrest. A spokeswoman from police directed inquiries to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Along with this, the Fulton DA’s office has not responded to requests for further information from The Atlanta-Journal-Constitution.
