Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court overturned the sexual assault conviction on the famous US comedian Bill Cosby, who recently left prison hours after this. Mr. Cosby, 83, served more than two years in a state prison near Philadelphia serving sentences of three to 10 years. The celebrity found guilty in 2018 when Ms. Constand officially filed a case against him. Later, several more women have publicly accused Mr. Cosby of sexual assault and his conviction is widely seen in the #MeToo movement.

In a ruling issued Wednesday, Pennsylvania’s highest court found a “violation of process” because Cosby’s attorney agreed with a previous state prosecutor that he would not be charged in the case. Shortly after his release from prison, the former actor appeared weak as he slowly waited for the media outside his home. On the other hand, his fans also yelling their support on several social media platforms. Not only this, but Mr. Cosby was sound guilty for three counts of felony assault against Ms. Constand. Along with it, Mr. Cosby also assaults his junior whom he met in 2002 while working at Temple University in Philadelphia.

The girl described the comedian as a mentor but she later claimed that he sexually assaulted her during her days of trial. In her statement, she clarified that Mr. Cosby drugged and molested her at his home in 2004 and that after doing everything with her, she found herself “frozen”. In all the girls who sexually assault and molested by Mr. Cosby, only Ms. Constand is the one who first came in front and filed a complaint against him in 2005.

But, because of process violation, former state prosecutor Bruce Castor did not charge any criminal charges against him. Currently, Pennsylvania’s highest court clarifying that Mr. Cosby has not been charged because of a process violation and some more details have not been revealed yet.
