Benjamin Azamati won the Diamond League Meeting’s running competition in just 10.25 seconds, even after the tremendous competition, over his other 7 competitors at the State Charlety. Benjamin Azamati has now signed a legal contract for the forthcoming 2 and half years with AISCS. The sprinter has once again registered his name in history by wrapping the first position at the Diamond League Meeting. Even Benjamin Azamati also made history in the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021.

The weather when the event took place was around 55 degrees celsius. The Diamond League Meeting is organized annually by partially dividing the field sports.

Benjamin Azamati was born on 14 January 1998, in the town of Ghana, Akim Oda. Since his childhood, he was interested in Football, but as he grew up, he started to move towards the other games and terminated in athletics. Benjamin Azamati used to attend Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School in Accra.

His talent for racing came out when his Physical Education teachers Nathaniel Botchway, Gideon Dukplah, and Mr. Kofi Dadzie discovered his talent. After a few years of practice, Benjamin was recognized as Ghana’s Fastest Human competitor, in 2019. In the African Games held in Rabat, the athlete won a gold medal in the 4 multiple by 100 meters race, 2019.

Benjamin Azamati has also won the GUSA of 100 meters. On 25th March 2022, Benjamin Azamati again broke his own record with his 9.90-second race at Texas, in the United States of America. He was also registered as the fastest scholastic, next to Trayvon Bromell.
