Swedish auto manufacturing company, Volvo recently launched the new Volvo XC90 petrol mild-hybrid model in India at a price range of Rs. 89.90 Lakh. The company made the launching of the Volvo CX90 after the successful launching of petrol mild-hybrid models of the Volvo XC40 and the Volvo S90.
The launching of the new Volvo XC90 petrol mild-hybrid has become part of the company’s commitment to turn from diesel to petrol vehicle and in the new direction to reduce the brand’s carbon footprint around the world. After the official launching, Volvo XC90 is a petrol mild-hybrid seven-seater SUV created on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) that pins all cars of the company in the 90 to 60 series.
Volvo XC90 petrol mild-hybrid: Design and Features
The new petrol Volvo XC90 mild-hybrid is available in the Volvo XC90 B6 inscription trim. The MD of the Volvo car, Jyoti Malhotra said,” With the official launching of the new XC90, we have launched three other new petrol mild-hybrid models this quarter. The confidence reposed by the customer in our brand has given us the conviction to offer them, technology-loaded new models.
The launching of the model completes our commitment to transit from diesel to petrol and also underlines our unbridled strategy to grow the Indian market”. The company changes the style of the 2021 Volvo XC90 petrol mild-hybrid focus on detailing with new out new grille and lower from bumper design. The air intakes of the model have a fresh look and the new alloy wheel designs roof rails and dual integrated exhaust as standard.
The R-Design shows some impressive look with a new black high-gloss finish to the trim of the exterior side including the door mirror casings, roof rails, and window frames. The model has come with some new features including a rear bumper.
Volvo XC90 petrol mild-hybrid: Engine and Features
There are two USB ports fitted in the cabin as standard. Along with this, there are many impressive standard features including the Sensus 9-inch multimedia touchscreen with voice-activated control, a navigation system, also, a Volvo On Call connected system, LED headlights, keyless entry start, and rear parking camera as well.
The company fitted a 1,969cc engine in the new Volvo XC90 that creates 300bhp and 420Nm of peak torque including an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The model is also coupled with a 48-volt battery with a kinetic enegrt recovery system and starter generator that improved the fuel economy up to 15%.
