Chinese smartphone-making company Vivo has finally launched its highly anticipated feature-laden smartphone Vivo in Thailand. The Vivo V9 smartphone is scheduled to be launched in India on March 23. The new Vivo smartphone looks almost identical to the Apple’s iPhone X from the front. It has got a similar type of notch like that of iPhone X, and the smartphone comes with AI (artificial intelligence) selfie features. Vivo has not disclosed the price and the date of availability of its new V9 smartphone. The phone will be launched in the Philippines on Thursday.
Design
The Vivo V9 comes with a bezel-less display along with the notch at the top of the display screen. The front end of the phone looks similar to the iPhone X. The edges are curved, and the rear side has got dual cameras, led flash and a fingerprint sensor.
Features and Specifications
Vivo V9 comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) in-cell IPS FullView Display panel that has an aspect ratio of 19: 9. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SoC powers V9. The smartphone comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256 GB through a microSD card. Vivo V9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with its custom UI Funtouch OS 4.0 running on top of it. Coming to the camera, V9 packs a 24-megapixel AI-based camera at the front that supports features like Portrait mode, Face Beauty mode and also AR stickers. V9 has got dual cameras at the rear. One is a 16-megapixel shooter, and another is a 5-megapixel sensor. The phone is powered by a 3260mAh battery and weighs 150 grams.
The V9 has a Karaoke mode to help to enhance the music playback experience for the users. Vivo V9 will be launched in India on March 23 and goes with the tagline #MadeforIndia. V9 is expected to be priced around Rs. 25000 and pre-orders are set to begin from Friday.
