Due to the rise in the COVID-19 case, the Uttar Pradesh Government has also postponed the board exams of the 10th and 12th classes. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has held a meeting and took the decision to postponed the board exams of 10th and 12th class till 4th May. They have announced the new exam schedule for 4th May. The COVID-19 situation in the state made them take this decision of delaying exams. They have instructed the school to delay board exams till 4th May. Earlier they decided to postpone till 8th May but unlike other states Chhatisgarh, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, and Punjab they postponed until 4th May. There are 56,03,814 students that are going to appear for the board exams this year where 29,94,312
students will appear for high school and 26,09,501 students for the intermediate exam. In the last 24 hours, the state reported over 20,000 cases. These cases have been registered in Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Moradabad, and Noida. The 17 people from the Department of Secondary Education have also tested positive for the Covid-19. Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has also announced the delaying board exams. She has stated that the board exams of the 12th will be held in May and the 10th board exams will be held in June. She hasn’t announced the exact schedule yet.
Like any other state the Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel-led government in the state has decided to postpone the exams of 10th and 12th exams. The secondary class 10 was scheduled to be held from 15th April to 1 May. Now the exams will be held on 4th May. The dates of the exam will be announced soon by the Government.
