The whole of India is waiting for the Union Budget 2022. The countdown has begun because it will be announced soon. The eyes of Indians are now on Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman who is going to present her fourth budget on February 1, 2022.
As we know last year, the budget was presented in a paperless format for the first time in history by FM Sitharaman, who came with carrying a tablet instead of “bahi-khata”. Once again, FM Sitharaman will present the paperless budget.
Where To Watch Union Budget 2022
Several Indian ministries will be part of the Union Finance Budget this year. The Budget Session of the Parliament will begin from January 31 and the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind will address it. Along with this, the first part of the Union Budget Session of Parliament will be held from Monday, January 31 to Tuesday, February 11, 2022.
While, the second part of the budget session will be held from March 14 to April 8, 2022. The budget will be the fourth one which is presented by the Narendra Modi-led BJP Government during its second tenure. According to the scheduled time, the budget will start at around 11 AM on February 1, 2022, at the Parliament. Here are some more important details.
Union Budget Date & Timings
According to the reports, the budget will be presented at around 11 AM on February 1st, 2022 despite staggered timing for Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Maybe, the duration of the budget will be approximately from 90 to 120 minutes.
In 2020, FM Sitharaman delivered the longest budget in history which was lasted about 160 minutes ( 2 hours 40 minutes).
Well, the Union Budget will be available to watch live on Lok Sabha TV. Along with this, people can also watch the Live Union Budget on various others news outlets and social media platforms such as Youtube and Twitter.
Last year, the budget presented that income and expenditure statement of the Union government along with the Finance Bill with new taxes and other measures for the new Financial Year but were not physically printed.
In 2021, the FM also launched the Budget Mobile App for the ministers and the general public. The app was launched for “hassle-free” access to budget documents by members of Parliament (MPs). Now, the budget will be also available in a printed form through the app.
Anyone can watch or read out the budget easily. The general public can easily download the budget documents via the website. All the arrangement was managed for the Rajya Sabha Leaders to meet virtually on January 31.
