Technology is taking new steps to improve the experience of the public. Recently, a reputed company, Tata Motors has announced some new models for the CNG passenger. The names of the cars announced by the company are Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG. Now, the new models of the company have been underway at Tata dealerships.

Along with it, the company also announced that the cars will officially be launched on 19th January 2022. As all of us know that only two companies are competing named Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai in the CNG Passenger vehicle space.

If we talk about the specifications of the cars, both cars are expected to be the same as their non-CNG siblings. The only change that we will expect to see in the upcoming CNG models is CNG badging. Let us also tell you that the equipment available cannot be stated until the available CNG variants are unveiled.

Talking about the top trim, the Tigor features LED DRLs, 15-inch alloys, a digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch infotainment system with Harman audio, automatic climate control, and it boasts a 4-Star NCAP safety rating. The petrol variants of the models are were also got such immense success in the market.

The CNG variants of the hatchback and sedan are predicted to be delivered with a 5-speed MT only. Both the cars are powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 86hp and 113Nm of torque, though these figures will be more inferior for the CNG variant due to the conversion.

Talking about the Tata Tiago CNG, it will be going to give a very powerful competition to Hyundai Santro and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. On the other hand, the Tata Tigor CNG will be going to give the battle to Hyundai Aura.

As per SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) in 2019, there were currently 1,300 filling stations in 293 cities and this has been increased to 3,500 filling stations. This number is set to reach 6,000 stations by 2025.

Alternative fuels have been the demand of recent times, particularly with the movement towards electricity and increasing fuel prices, CNG is looking more promising as a sustainable fuel alternative. Now, many people who want to purchase a perfect CNG variant can purchase Tata Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG. It will be going to available in Tata dealerships from 19th January 2022.
