The Tamil Filmmaker Thamira passed away on Tuesday, 27th April due to COVID-19. The film director was 53 years old and he debuts in the film with Rettaisuzhi. Thamira tested corona positive 20 days ago and he was getting treatment for it. Even after taking the medicines for 20 days he didn’t recover and died on Tuesday. He was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai while he tested positive. His daughter and son took him to the hospital for treatment on 6th April. A few days ago the South Indian film Industry’s comedy icon Vivek also died due to Covid-19. Everyone from the industry is still in a shocking state to know about Thamira’s death.
A music composer Ghibran has twisted about Thamira “The Tamil industry has lost another true gem Thamira Sir, I have enjoyed the time while I was working with you and it will always be in my heart our joyful memory. May your soul rest in peace. My condolence to their family”. Dr. Dhananjayann also posted the condolence on Twitter ” Still in shock to hear this news. This is sad to know that life is too short for many. Director Dhamira was my friend and a good person. Not able to accept this loss. RIP Thamira Sir. You will always be missed. Ghibran has posted on Twitter that ” I was listening to a song which made me realize each word and spirit in this song and it will always remind me of you. He will be watching us from heaven. So let’s promise to make this world worth living”. Thamira has started his career as an assisting director with filmmakers Bharathiraja and K.Balachander. The movie RettaiSuzhi was quite famous before releasing as the star cast.
