A new study, published in the Journal of Food Science and Nutrition, suggests that taking unsalted Tomato Juice is helpful in lowering the risk of heart disease as it helps in lower the blood pressure and cholesterol level in adults. Anyone who is at risk of cardiovascular disease is suggested to take unsalted juice, as it prevents high blood pressure level and high cholesterol level in the body.
Approximately 500 residents of Japan were examined which included 184 males and 297 females. The researchers from the Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan conducted this study to examine the result by taking unsalted tomato juice in diet, on a group of people who are diagnosed with hypertension, anxiety, blood pressure or inadequate cholesterol level.
94 percent of people who had untreated pre-hypertension or hypertension, experienced a drop in their blood pressure, providing them relieved charges and less load on the body. The level of systolic blood pressure lowered at an average of 141.2 to 137 mmHg, and diastolic blood pressure lowered from an average of 83.3 to 80.9 mmHg. It also showed a reduction of High LDL (or bad) cholesterol levels with an average of 155 to 149.9 mg/dL in 125 participants.
The study proves that drinking one glass of unsalted Tomato Juice improves the health of the person and also provides several benefits to the body. Researchers also showed that these findings were the same in men and women. Also, it didn’t vary in the different age group as well.
