Last month, the South Korean tech giant Samsung unveiled its brand new and most awaited device named Samsung S9 globally. Now the device has entered the Indian market. The company launched the device for the Indian customers during an event which was held in New Delhi. As per the information, the device comes with two different storage configurations i.e., 64 GB and 256 GB of internal storage. For now, customers can pre-book the device on Samsung’s official website. To pre-book, they need to pay Rs. 2,000 as booking amount or advance.
Now, talking about its specifications and features, the device carries a 5.8-inch QHD+ super AMOLED curved display which looks very stunning. With 18.5:9 aspect ratio, it offers 1440×2960 pixel of screen resolution.
The color depth of the device is 570 PPI. Under the hood, it has a Samsung 10nm Exynos 9810 octa-core processor. Its first 4 cores clocked at 2.7GHz and second 4 cores offers 1.9 GHz of clock speed. It is packed with a 4 GB of RAM and available 64 GB and 256 GB internal storage configurations. Well, if this is not enough then users can expand the storage capacity up to 400 GB using a microSD card, which cannot be possible in iPhone.
About its camera configuration, on the rear side, the device carries a vertical dual camera set up which includes a 12MP+12MP camera. The aperture of the first camera is f/1.5 and secondary camera’s aperture is f/2.4. On the front, Samsung S9 offers an 8MP camera with f/1.7 aperture. To provide better security, the device supports iris scanner, fingerprint sensor, and face detection technology.
The device is running on latest Android 8.0 Oreo and powered by a 3000 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S9 64 GB variant carries a price tag of Rs. 64, 900 and its 256 GB variant is priced at Rs. 65,900 and comes in four color variants i.e., coral blue, lilac purple, midnight black and titanium gray.
