But now it has become a trend to feature these kinds of movies as the audience has given a positive review from last makings. Parineeti Chopra’s starrer film “Saina” is one of the biopics which is going to be released. The film is about the life of Saina who faces ups and downs to reach the No.1 rank as India’s ace shuttle. This movie is a tribute to Saina from her fans who admire her and whom she inspires. Saina Nehwal is from Haryana who has created history in 2015 after she becomes the first Indian woman who attains the number 1 rank in Badminton. She has won more than 24 international titles and reaches the world’s second player rank after the Parkash Padukon.
Saina is the only Indian who has won a medal in each BWF major individual and the BWF World Junior Championship. She honoured with “Padma Bhushan” from the Government of India in 2006. She has also honored with the “Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award” and “Arjuna Award”. She has also represented India three times in the Olympics and won the bronze medal. The story of each player starts with a mentor who brings out the talent from the player. It was Saina’s mother who has seen that spirit in her and encourages her to earn her name and made her country proud. There was a moment when Saina was injured and hopeless of thinking about her career, her mother uplifted her confidence and said “Tu Sherni Hai. The biggest enemy of our dreams is self-doubt and you shouldn’t let anyone take you for granted”. This was also the dream of her mother to see her doing well in life. Her mother never let her head down and vanish her spirit and she held her at every phase of life.
Amole Gupte is the director of the movie and it was quite tough to direct a movie where the sportsman hasn’t created any controversy in his career. Saina had a simple life and a transparent career as she is an active player for a decade. She belongs to a middle-class family and her parents raised her well. She has a loving sister and a supportive husband who also helped her to pursue her career after marriage.
