Akshay Kumar has come up with a whole new movie Pad Man. I know it will be seeming weird for once as the title is based on something which is a taboo in India. Akshay Kumar has done a great thing by highlighting that and resolving the problem. The movie is based on Arunachalam, A man residing in Coimbatore who is a social activist and works for the empowerment of the village people. Akshay Kumar is really good in doing justice with every role he plays. The movie is produced by Twinkle Khanna and also she wrote about the man Arunachalam. R. Balki directed the movie.

ratings of Pad Man is decent and critics praised the movie and story plot. They appreciated the hard work done by R. Balki in showcasing a sensitive topic in a cool way which does not seems offensive at all. The movie was first going to release on 26 January but then Padmaavat also got the same date to release. Akshay Kumar did not want to collide his movie with much awaited Padmaavat and therefore release date got shifted and released on 09 February. The movie is released over 2000 screens and was supposed to see competition with Aiyaary but Aiyaary did not get a clearance certificate from Censor Board and now only Pad Man is ruling the theatres.
