By now it is clear that now is the time of rehashed and reprised versions of Bollywood songs. We have seen everything from yesteryear classics to 90s superhits being rehashed with techno beats and rap verses whenever possible. And now, Bollywood has started rehashing songs from the early 2000s. While the early 2000s itself was where we saw the rise of remixed albums. There were very few original songs that got us grooving.
O Saki Saki song from Musafir was one of the most popular dance numbers in 2004. The song featured trained dancer Koena Mitra back then and was sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan. Now, the song will appear in the upcoming John Abraham-starrer, Batla House. The song is making a comeback as a rehashed version with Nora Fatehi. Though we know, Nora Fatehi is a great dancer and an actor, and we are too sure about the song.
Koena Mitra on Sunday showed her concern about the song and took to Twitter to voice it. Koena wrote,” My song from Musafir #Saaki Saaki has been recreated. Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder, Vishal, Shekhar combination was outstanding. Didn’t like the new version, it’s a mess! This song has crashed many blockbusters! Why Batla House, why? P.S. Nora is a stunner. Hope she saves our pride.

Sunidhi, Suhwinder, Vishal, Shekhar combination was outstanding. Didn’t like the new version, it’s a mess! This song had crashed many blockbusters! Why batlahouse, why?
P. S: Nora is a stunner. Hope she saves our pride.

Sophie Choudry who is an Indian host, singer and film actress replied to her tweet and said:
You were outstanding in that song Koena!! Nora is lovely but wish every single song wasn’t being remade.. especially when the original still sounds so amazing and fresh!! Sunidhi and Sukhiji killed it!

Thanks Sophie. I agree, Iconic songs shouldn’t be remade.
Sunidhi and sukhiji shouldn’t have been replaced… Simple. https://t.co/0xj2W8hvBk

She, however, wrote that she “P.S. Nora is a stunner. Hope she saves our pride”. Nora had previously appeared in the chartbuster track Dilbar, which is also a remake and had broken all sorts of records. But we can assume from her costumes to her featuring that John Abraham, Batla House will surely give us Dilbar feels. While the original track was performed by Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan, the new version has been performed by Tulsi Kumar and Neha Kakkar.
