In January, HMD Global had released the Android Oreo 8.0 for Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. As per the latest report, both the devices have now received stable Android Oreo 8.1 update. Previously, the new update was rolled out to Nokia 8, and now it has arrived in these two phones but selected markets of India. It comes with a little update on the Android 8.0 Oreo.
As per the information, the Nokia 5 users in India, Indonesia and Tunisia are now receiving the Android 8.1 Oreo update. On the other side, HMD Global has released this update to the Nokia 6 for the Indian market. The update package size for the Nokia 5 is around 867 MB and for the Nokia 6, it is around 934MB. It will be good if you download it via Wi-Fi connection to carry out an uninterpreted download process. To check for the update users can go to settings then click on System updates option. Now the device will search for the latest update and download it.
The new update brings battery saving navigation buttons, a new power menu, a redesigned setting menu and Bluetooth battery percentage feature. It will also update the old Android security patches to the March security patches. The devices will also get some other Android feature like Autofill framework updates, Neural Networks API, and Shared Memory API. It is also expected that it will also bring enhance the stability, boost performance and will fix bugs.
Both the devices carry some same specifications and features like both have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and powered by a 3000mAh battery. The Nokia 5 has a 5.2-inch HD display and offer 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. On the other side, the Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. It has two variants, a 3GB RAM + 32 GB ROM variant and a 4GB RAM + 64 GB ROM Variant.
