Nokia 1 launched in India with Android Oreo Go edition

In February 2018, HMD global unveiled Nokia’s new Smartphone named Nokia 1 at the Mobile World Congress, held in Barcelona. This budget Smartphone has Android Oreo Go edition and 4G connectivity. Well, the company has now officially launched the device in India and customers can get one from 28th March 2018 by paying just Rs. 5,499.

Talking about its features and specifications, the device carries a 4.50-inch display and will offer 480 x 854 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device has a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor. The users will get a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage in this device. On the rear side it has a 5MP camera, and on the front, it offers a 2MP camera. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition and powered by a 2150mAh removable battery.

Android Oreo Go Edition is specially designed for the devices which carry 1GB RAM or less. This OS occupy less storage space to provide smooth operations. Well, this does not mean it will come with a stock UI. The users will get some specially designed Google apps on this device like Google Assistance Go, Google Files Go, YouTube Go, Gmail and Google Maps Go. However, the users can download regular Google apps from Play Store.

The device will be available in two different colours i.e., red and dark blue. Along with this device, the company will also launch Xpress On covers in azure, grey and yellow colours which will be priced at Rs. 450.

It comes with some exciting offers like Jio users can get Rs. 2,200 cashback. The cashback amount will be given in vouchers of Rs. 50 and that will be directed credited to MyJio account. The buyers will also get insurance which will cover accidental damage for 12 months.
