NGK (Nandha Gopala Kumaran) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language which is written and directed by Selvaraghavan. Suriya, Sai Pallavi, and Rakul Preet Singh play the lead role while Devraj plays a pivotal role in the movie. The movie was released on 31 May 2019. In the film, Nandha Gopala Kumaran is a social worker and good doer and is specialized in organic farming. He has huge supporters in his village, and most of them are youngsters, who all are inspired by him, as he quits his high profile job to serve his country. He lives in a village with his mother ” Viji,” father ” Ramanan” and his possessive wife ” Geetha Kumari,” who is a significant strength for him.

The movie opened to an overwhelming response from the audience. The second day of the film got excellent reviews. The box office in Tamil Nadu gave director positive response. The political thriller movie has managed to earn Rs 50 crore in just five days. It is said that the film is holding steady at the box office, as there are no big-budgets films for competition. On Day 1 the movie earned Rs 14.28 cr, Day 2- Rs 14.75 cr, Day 3- Rs 15.12 cr, Day 4- Rs 4.03 cr, Day 5- Rs 3.86 Cr. This was the total box office collection of Rs 52.04 cr in Tamil Nadu. Whereas, in Chennai, the film has collected Rs 3.92 cr at the end of the four days of its theatrical run. It is expected that the movie can earn up to Rs 4-5 cr in six days.
