The Skoda Auto India has finally announced to launch of the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia on 10th June 2021. Due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the launch of the Skoda Octavia was postponed by the makers. The Skoda Octavia project was started in January 2021 and completed in April 2021. The Octavia has made its world-premiere in November 2019 when they redesigned the LED headlights, tail lights, LED DRLs, and food lamps. The Octavia has 19-inch alloy wheels with a proportion of 19mm longer and 15mm wider than the last generation model. There will be a 10-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system inside the cabin which is digitally equipped.
The two-spoke steering wheel and knurled scroll wheel with tri-zone climate control and ambient lighting. Skoda has picked the quad headlamp design of the third-generation Octavia in this new car. There will be quite a similar design which as a conventional headlamp bound the trademark grille. The new Skoda Octavia will launch with a single petrol engine of 2,0-litre TSI turbo-petrol with 190hp. There will be a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox in Skoda Octavia. It will compete with the Hyundai Elantra design exclusively sedan segment.
Skoda is also planning to launch the all-new Kushaq mid-size SUV in the Indian market in the upcoming month. This will also be launched in a single petrol engine. The makers have shared that the all-new OCTAVIA will compete with the Sadan available in the Indian market and offer timeless design, safety, technology, superior space, comfort, and performance. The fourth-generation Octavia Sedan has launched globally two years ago. Due to the pandemic, they postponed the launch and decide to launch in 2021. Earlier, they planned to lunch it in May.
Octavia will be one of the best-performing cars in this model and has launched with a refreshing look and upgraded features. There will be a wheelbase of 2,686 mm which has more space for occupants. They have offered a 19mm length and 15mm wider body. The cabin layout has also been worked with a new-look dashboard which featured the digital display and a twin-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The Skoda Octavia is expected to be launched at a price of Rs. 18-24 lakh. The all-new Octaviais will be completed for the Toyota Corolla Atis, Hyundai Elantra, and Honda Civic.
