The University of Mumbai has announced the entrance examination date for Ph.D. and MPhil courses. The candidates can visit the official website i.e to fill the online application. The exam will be conducted from 25th March to 27th March. There are 79 subjects candidates will give examination for. The PET exam will contain 100 marks and the time duration will be 2 hours. There will be 2 sections in the exam and each section contains 50 marks. Section-A will be on Research Methodology and Section -B will be a specific subject. The Board of Studies has already updated the syllabus so candidates can study from there.

Mumbai University Released Entrance Exam Schedule

The merit cut-off is set for reserved and unreserved candidates. The reserved category candidate has to obtain 45 passing marks and unreserved category has to obtain 50 passing marks to qualify for the entrance exam. After the result declaration, the candidate can raise the query to the Deputy Registrar related to the result. The PET exam will be held online in invigilating mode. Details will be provided to the candidate regarding the invigilator. A mock test will be conducted for this between 12th March to 17th March.

Mumbai University has offered a Ph.D. in various subjects like Arts, Commerce. Science, Law, and Technology. All the courses will be completed in 3 years. The entrance exam online application will be end on 18th March and the examination will be held from 25th to 27th March. The application fee for SC/ST candidates would be Rs. 500/- and General candidates have to pay Rs. 1000/-

  • Generate an ID and password to login the online application
  • Log in to the page and the application form will open
  • Read the instructions carefully before filling the application
    Fill in the required details such as Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Education Qualification, etc, marks obtained in 12th class, graduation, and post-graduation
  • Attach a scanned copy of passport size colored photograph and signature
  • Pay the fee and submit the application
  • Download the application and take a print out for the future reference

The syllabus for the online exam will be available on the official website. The previous year’s question paper and mock tests will be updated for practice. The candidates who have applied for this exam will get the Admit Card notification on their registered e-mail id.
