As per the latest update, the Maharashtra University of Health Science (MUHS)has announced that the MBBS Final Year Exam will be held offline from 8th March 2021. The exam was scheduled for 24th February but due to the number of Covid-19 cases, the NEET has delayed the exams for two weeks. Now they have announced the final date for the exam is 8th March. The exam will be held in offline mode. Many students and parents have demanded to conduct the exam online as the number of Covid-19 cases is increasing again. Many of them are under the treatment and some are quarantine when their classmates tested positive.
The students approached the Minister of Medical Education Amit Deshmukh and Cabinet Minister Aditya Thackeray to look over the issue and take appropriate actions. So they have decided to make suitable arrangements for the final year student for their safety. The college will provide separate rooms for the students to give exams. The NEET is a single national level exam for admission in medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and other courses offered by institutes across the country. The exam used to conduct offline by the National Testing Agency.
The student who has passed the 12th standard with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology with a minimum of 50% can appear for this examination. The NEET-PG exam conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) for admission in MS/MD/PG Diploma/ DNB courses. This exam conducts online by computer mode. The qualified candidates can own an MBBS degree in a recognized university to apply for the NEET PG exam. If a candidate is appearing in the PG entrance exam then he should have a graduate degree from an MCI recognized university. There is the different cut-off score for the reserved and unreserved candidate.
The basic eligibility for appearing for MBBS/BDS entrance exam is that the candidate should have completed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biotechnology subjects. He should have passed the 12th class with a minimum 50% score. National Eligibility cumEntrance Exam is conducted by the NBE. The exam for dental courses is conducted by the MDS. After qualifying for the exam, the counseling and selection process of the exam has completed by the Directorate of General Health Services. This is also an online computer-based test.
