Today we are discussing two remakes of 2016 Hollywood slasher movie, Hush. The Hindi version of the mystery thriller horror movie is titled ‘Khamoshi’ while the Tamil version of the film is titled ‘Kolaiyuthir Kaalam.’ Talking about the Hindi version first, Khamoshi starts Tamannaah and Prabhu Deva in the lead roles while the movie also features Bhumika Chawla in the prominent role. The film also casting Sanjay Suri and Deepak Anand in the supporting roles. The movie was released yesterday on 14th June 2019, Friday.
‘Kolaiyuthir Kaalam’ & ‘Khamoshi’ Box Office Collection:
Khamoshi received mixed reviews from film critics along with below average ratings. The poor reviews will surely affect the box office collection of the film. The other factors which are affecting the business of the movie include Bollywood superstar Salman Khan starrer Bharat, which is ruling the Indian box office. The Tamil version of the movie Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is starring Nayanthara in the lead role, it is also featuring Bhumika Chawla, Prathap Pothen and Rohini Hattangadi in the prominent roles. Both Hindi and Tamil remakes are directed by Chakri Toleti. Kolaiyuthir Kaalam was also scheduled to release on 14th June 2019, Friday, which set up a clash between Nayanthara starrer and Taapsee Pannu’s thriller Tamil flick ‘Game Over’ that also hit the theaters on this Friday and it received positive reviews from film critics and audience.

Nayanthara’s thriller horror movie Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is facing a legal problem as Vidiyum Munn fame director Balaji Kumar had filed a report in Madras High Court a few days back claiming that he has rights of the title ‘Kolaiyuthir Kaalam’ that is the name of author Sujatha’s novel. The story of both movies Kolaiyuthir Kaalam and Khamoshi revolves around a young deaf and mute woman, who gets stuck in a mansion, and a serial killer on loose. However, we can’t say the film is a proper disappointment as it’s a perfect blend of thrill and chill with horror punch. Khamoshi is director Chakri Toleti’s brave experiment but it turned out as a dull remake of Hollywood movie, Hush.
