The fast which females take is very long in which females cannot eat and also drink. After the moon arrives, all the females see the moon and then give Aarti to her husband. The husband gives his wife to drink water and then to eat. The fast comes with many emotions over husbands and all the females are take fast for their husbands. Karwa Chauth celebrated from many years and now the devotional spirit on the festival regularly increases in females.

Every year, Karwa Chauth falls on Krishna Paksha Chaturthi in the month of Kartika (October-November). The most auspicious time to perform puja is 05:34 pm and 06:52 pm. The Moonrise timing of the day is expected to 08:12 pm. In the morning all the females wake up early and take a holy bath and then take a meal of Sargi, in which many dishes included fruits, dry fruits, and sweets before the sunrise. After the sunrise, all the women fast the entire day and breaking it after sighting the moon.

The procedure of Karwa Chauth

  • Lay the red cloth and then place the Karwa that you received from your mother’s house. Decorate the Karwa and picture of Maa Parvati and then offer flowers and tilak.
  • Place another Karwa with water for the Sun god.
  • Offer the special food prepared for the Puja and perform the puja on the auspicious timing of the day.
  • At the end of the Puja, offer Aarti to the goddess Parvati and the Karwa.
  • After the rising of the moon, look at the moon’s reflection on the water of Karwa through a sieve. Then. look at the face of your husband and touch his feet.

The festival of Karwa Chauth is celebrated in every Hindu household in India. This year, November 4 is the auspicious day to celebrate Karwa Chauth and many females are waiting for the festival.
