Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s latest released Kabir Singh refuses to stop at the box office, the film is keeping up with its steady box office business despite the presence of recently released films in theaters. The film was released on June 21 and has successfully ended its three weeks on a good note. The romantic drama is currently running in its fourth week and still generating impressive business. The film is winning hearts while the audience is giving much love and support to the film.
Sandeep Vanga’s directorial Kabir Singh has collected Rs 255.89 crore till Saturday. Shahid starrer refused to slow down despite the release of superstar Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 on Friday. The film has become the highest grosser of 2019 by surpassing the box office collection of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike that raked Rs 245.36 crore from the Indian box office. More interestingly, Kabir Singh is Shahid’s only solo blockbuster film that has set its benchmark at the box office.

Kabir Singh is a Hindi remake of 2017 hit Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, which made actor Vijay Deverakonda an overnight star. However, the film also faced criticism for promoting violence against women, but despite all the criticism the film is creating magic at the box office and still running with good occupancy into the theaters even in its fourth week. Fans are praising Shahid for her excellent performance in the role of the heartbroken lover. The actor portrayed the role of an alcoholic surgeon, who goes on a path of self-destruction after his girlfriend Preeti (Kiara Advani) is forced to marry someone else.
Shahid’s film is receiving much love and support from the audience that the recently released movies like Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 and Hrithik’s Super 30 failed to affect the box office business of Kabir Singh. It seems like the film will continue with its steady business until the released of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao’s much-awaited film Judgmental Hai Kya, which is all set to hit theaters on July 26.
