A notification has been released by National Testing Agency (NTA) that JEE Mains Examination 2021 is postponed due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the capital. The exam was about to conduct on 27th, 28th, and 30th April in various examination centers across the country. The postponed notification has been sent to each candidate on their registered email address who qualified for this year JEE Mains Examination 2021. A notice has released by NTA which stated that due to coronavirus cases in the country the decision of delaying the JEE Mains Examination has been taken. The Union Health Minister Ramesh Ponkhiyal has tweeted that

” I have advice NTA to postponed the JEE Mains 2021 April session as corona cases are rapidly increasing the country. The candidate’s safety should be our priority and this is my first concern right now”. The NTA took the action on the statement and announced to postponed the JEE Mains Examination. The first two rounds of JEE Mains 202 were conducted on 23rd February and 26th February. They will release the next date for the April session after 15 days. Candidates are advised to keep themselves updated by visiting the official website of NTA i.e jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The Admit Card will release 15 days prior to the examination. The Union Minister said that India recorded more than 12-crore vaccine doses in the last 3 months which is the fastest vaccination drive in any country. India crossed the 2,61,500 new coronavirus cases and 1,502 deaths in just one day. The daily positivity rate in India has been doubled from 8% to 16% in the last 10 days. Telangana state registered 5,094 new coronavirus cases which is the highest single day in the last 24 hours. There are many ministers who appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce the National Health Emergency. The public rallies should be suspended for the upcoming month to examine the situation.

Prime Minister conducted a meeting in Varanasi where he restated the importance of wearing the mask, using sanitizer, and maintain a distance in public places. The Union Health Minister has also written to all Central Ministries and private companies to provide their hospital beds, for COVID-19 patients. The competitive exams scheduled have been changed in the country. The Board Exams of 10th and 12th class also postponed for the next month in each state.
