An encounter operation run by the Indian Army at Redwani Area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Jammu & Kashmir. In this operation, the security forces have been killed two terrorists in this ongoing encounter between the former and the security forces. The official statement of the encounter was released by police on Thursday morning, December 16, 2021.
According to recent sources, the operation is underway and forces are trying to knock out more terrorists. All the possibilities are taking place to find out more terrorists in the area. The operation was held on Wednesday but the official statement was shared on Thursday morning by the officials.
Now, the forces are trying to locate other terrorists. Along with this, the operation began after security forces received input about the presence of two terrorists in the village. In the search operation of those militants, security forces have killed two terrorists. Kashmir Zone Police tweeted,” Kulgam Encounter Update: Two unidentified #terrorists killed. Search going on. Further details shall follow”.
Two Terrorists Killed by Security Forces in Kulgam District
The operation took place after another terrorist identified as Hizbul Mujahideen was shot dead by security forces in an encounter in Pulwama. On the other side, the A category terrorist has been also identified as Feroz Ahmad Dar was also killed in this attack.
He was one of those terrorists who were involved in the Shopian’s Zainapora attack in 2018 in which, four police officers were killed by those. Not only this but Dar was also involved in the killing of a girl, Ishrat Muneer in February 2019. Police state,” Two unidentified terrorists killed. Search operation is going on”.
The firefight between the terrorists and the security forces took place on Thursday after a joining team of the police and security forces reached at the spot and cordoned off the area and began their search according to the information about the presence of those terrorists in the area.
After knocking them, the official seized incriminating materials, ammunition, and arms including an AK rifle and three magazines. All these armed have been seized by the security forces.
There is no causality reported by the forces. The security forces zeroed in on the spot where all the terrorists were hiding and they came with some heavy volume of fire that triggered the encounter.
