After observing the situation of COVID-19, and rising coronavirus cases in Delhi, Jamia Milia Islamia has announced to postpone the 10th and 12th Class exams which were scheduled to be conducted from 15th April. They have conducted the pre-board exams in July 2020. Earlier, the board exams of the 10th and 12th class were conducted in March, but like any other state in the country, Delhi has also postponed the exams of the 9th and 11th class. The decision has been taken into account the safety of students so they rescheduled the exams and said that the new date will be announced soon. They have released the notification that this has been decided to conduct the board exam by CBSE will be postponed for the class 10th and 12th.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a high-level meeting and announced this on Wednesday. They have postponed the exams till 4th May 2021. The night curfew has already been applied in Delhi from 9th April to 19th April. This would be the second step to control the situation. JMI has stated that the rise in coronavirus cases is an issue that cannot be neglected when it comes to the students. The Board has decided to postpone the exam of 10th and 12th class and they will be conducted on 4th May. This would be applicable to the private and regular students.
Delhi has recorded the biggest number of new corona cases on Wednesday which is 17,282, while more than 100 people have died. This is the second-highest number which has recorded till now. The Delhi Chief Minister held a meeting regarding this and announced the night curfew to control the situation. They have announced that the night curfew is a critical situation demand which has to be fulfilled. If we talk about the corona cases in the country then a total of 2.00.738 cases has been recorded in the past 24 hours.
This report has been issued by the Union Health Minister on Wednesday. A total number of 1,40,74,565 new cases in a single day has been recorded in the country. The death rate increased to 1,73,124 with 1,038 new cases which are the highest since October 2020. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that they have held the exam but will take a decision after a review of the situation is completed.
