On the Hindu occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, two groups clashed during the Hanuman Jayanti procession in the Jahangir Puri area of Delhi. The clash between two groups took place on Saturday, April 16, 2022, after stones were pelted. According to the sources, several vehicles on the spot were vandalized by the wrongdoer, and police personnel was also injured in the incident. All the injured people were rushed to the Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital and they are being treated by the hospital staff. Well, there is no casualties reported yet.
Some videos have been circulating on social media and people are leaving their reactions over the videos. Well, the videos are showing the incidents of groups of people on different sides of the road throwing stones at each other and it is also reported that when police personnel rushed to the spot and tried to handle the situation, they were also attacked by assailants. Rakesh Asthana, Delhi’s Police Commissioner said that the situation has been taken under control and strict action will be taken against those who tried to manipulate this event.

Now, the patrolling in the area has increased and urges people not to share fake news and rumors on social media. Police personnel has been deployed to the spot to handle the situation and everything has been taken under control now. Amit Shah, Union Home Minister spoke to authorities to strictly maintain law and order. He also urges police authorities to take illegal action against the miscreants.
Almost 200 Rapid Action Force personnel along with Delhi Police has been deployed to the spot. Several videos are now circulating on social media which was describing the situation of the incident where stones were thrown from each side of the road. Till now, the report of any casualty has not been found and authorities urge people not to share rumors or any fake news regarding to the incident.
Well, Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the police to maintain the peace in the area, he said,” I appeal to everyone to maintain peace as the country can not progress without it. Central govt has the responsibility to maintain peace in the capital; appeal to people to main peace”.
