The new Jaguar I- Pace electric SUV has been launched in India. It will get a single power train option in SUV400. The I- Pace gets a smooth flowing crossover design. It stands 4,682 mm in length, 2139mm in depth and 1566 mm in height. The front face is dominated by a honeycomb pattern grille. The grille is flanked by sleek LED headlamps and aggressive looking air intakes. The headlamps also get an optional matrix function along with DRLs. The headline also gets an animated directional indicator. The air intake in the bonnet signify I- Peace’s inspired styling. The large Wheel arches and sliding roofline luminate the side profile. The all-wheel-drive SUV sits on these passive 19- inch wheels.
The I- Pace has a wheelbase of 2,990mm and background clearance of 174mm. The side also gets integrated deployable handles. At the rear, the I- Pace gets LED tail lights with the directional indicators. There is also a massive 656-litres notice with a length of 967mm. The boot lid can be remotely opened with the help of a button on the keys. Step inside the car, and you will be greeted with a plush cabin. A massive digital display dominated the dashboard inside the car. The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment green gets Android Auto and Apple car play. The 12.3 – inch instrument cluster has an attractive drive display.
The new navigation system also allows one of the screen navigation with 3D mapping. It also gets HUD, adaptive cruise control 360-degree camera as features. The cabin also gets 16-speakers Meridian 3D to surround sound system, which has wireless charging. Jaguar had fitted the I- Pace electric SUV with the IPM2.5 air filter. It also gets a massive panoramic sunroof which is fixed. The electric Jaguar i- Pace has a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery Congress with a warranty of 8 years on 1.6 lakh km.
It takes 45 minutes to recharge up to 80 per cent through a 100 kW fast charging unit. A smaller 7kWh wall box Cheever mar take your 10 hours to charge the SUV fully. The Jaguar I- Pace will be able to cover nearly 160 km on single charge. The safety features include six airbags, ABS, ESC, emergency brake assist and parking sensors. Its two electric motors give the car a power of 395 bhp with 696 Nm of peak torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds. The price of this car hasn’t disclosed yet.
