FaceApp is a photo-transforming app which is driving people crazy these days. The app which was released back in January 2017 went viral after celebs like LeBron James, Drake, the cast of Stranger Things and others shared their aged selfies on social media platforms. While people are sharing their AI-aged selfies on social media with proud many are concerned about their security as the viral app might misuse the date of its users.
If you have also installed FaceApp on your smartphone, don’t worry as there is no such evidence that proves that your data (your content or images) is being misused. However, it doesn’t mean that you should ignore the terms and conditions of this application and other famous applications. You should know what this app or other popular app are doing with your personal data, including your photos.
On July 17, Wednesday, the Democratic National Committee issued a notice to 2020 presidential campaigns and urged them to delete FaceApp immediately as the app might misuse the users’ data. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called FBI to investigate if the smartphone app is putting users’ data on risk.
