Rahul Tewatia is a well-known player of the cricket team Rajasthan Royals. He has made a mark in IPL 2020 with his all-around performance. Rahul has shared his engagement pictures with his fiance Ridhi Pannu. The ceremony held in his hometown Haryana on 3rd February where his teammate Jayant Yadav and Nitish Rana were invited. Rahul has shared a picture wearing a maroon suit while Ridhi has wearing a pastel color lehenga and posing for the photographer. His cricket teammates congratulated him on social media. Suresh Rana, who is the Chennai Super King star has congratulated him on tweeter and wrote, “Congratulations Brother”. On his debut, Rahul played a match from team Haryana against team Odisha, he played a match-winning stroke of 62 runs.

His all-round performance made him Haryana’s prized possession. A total number of 27 wickets he has taken in 21 games and managed to score 484 runs. In T20 cricket he has played 50 matches and scored 691 runs. Tawatia has started his IPL journey in 2014. He first signed up for the team Rajsthan Royals in 2014. Team has bought him for Rs. 10 Lakh. The left-arm spinner has played his first Indian T20 League representing Rajasthan Royals. He played just one game from the team in 2015. Then he missed the next audition in 2016 but in 2017, he came back with the team Kings IX Punjab. He played only 3 matches from the new IPL team. His performance was average as he scored 19 runs and picked only 3 wickets.

In IPL 2018, Rahul Tawatia was bought by Delhi Capital for Rs. 3 Crore at the auction. Virat Kohli was bid for Royal Challenger’s Bangalore with the Haryana all-rounder along with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Tewatia got a longer cord at Delhi capitals because he played 8 matches for Delhi in IPL 2018. He picked the 6 wickets somehow he couldn’t manage to score well. He then played 5 more games in IPL 2019. Rahul took IPL 2020 to the next level when he came forward with a stunning knock against team Kings IX Punjab. Tawatia didn’t star this year with a great opening in the team matches. He faced a big run chase opposite team KIX Punjab. His performance was poor when he was batting with Sanju Samson.
Tawatia took 19 balls and scored only 8 runs. When Samson got out of the game, Tawatia had to take responsibility to increase the score for Rajsthan Royals. He made 45 scores in just 12 balls by giving five-sixes in an over. He managed to score 53 in 31 balls and helped his team to give a great run chase to the opposite team. Tewatia has become the second cricketer to smashed five sixes in an over in the IPL. He has achieved a milestone that Chris Gayle has already done which is 18th over bowled by Cottrell.
