Injured All-Rounder Ben Stokes is set to return to ODI action as he was name in England 14-Man Squad for the upcoming Royal London three ODI match series against India, starting 12 July. The first ODI on 12 July will be played at Trent Bridge [Nottingham] followed by the second at the Lord’s [14 July] And final match at the Headingley [Leeds] on 17 July.
Ben stokes sustained a hamstring injury earlier this month against Australia. Stokes who tore his left hamstring during the Pakistan Test series, England are coming into this series after hammering Australia 5-0 at Home. Ben Stokes did not take part in England 5-0 whitewash of Australia.
All-Rounder Ben Stokes, Who was out of action for five weeks injury. The 27-year-old Stokes his left hamstring before the second Test against Pakistan in June. Stokes is also on contention top return to the T20I Squad for the the third T20I against India in Bristol on Sunday 8 July.
England Selectors Have Picked A Balanced Squad
The selectors have picked a balanced squad with openers Jason Roy, Alex Hales in great form. Jos Buttler And Jonny Bairstow are also in best form while Eoin Morgan as the ability to Accelerate the Scoring in the middle overs. Jos Buttler was promoted to open against Australia and responded with England fastest ever T20 fifty, off 22 Balls. The selection committee has not picked Batsman Sam Billings and All-Rounder Sam Curran in the 14-Man ODI Squad. But Sam’s brother Tom has been called up. Sam Curran though has made a place for himself in the shorter format along with Chris Jordan. Chris Woakes, who is still recovering from long-standing knee injury has also not been included in the Squad. Tom and Jake Ball made his Debut in the fifth and final ODI taking two for b44 and contributing 15 from the Bat, the return of the both quicks sees the 20-year-old drop out.
