IBM, US health insurers partner for medical chain

US-based health insurers Aetna, Anthem, Health Care Service Corporation and PNC have signed on IBM for a blockchain project to improve transparency and interoperability in the healthcare industry. Health may refer to the medical state of physical, mental and social well-being. Health is defined as the ability to adapt and manage physical, mental and social challenges throughout life. “Blockchain’s has unique attributes that make it suitable for large networks to quickly exchange sensitive data in permissions, controlled and transparent way.
