It is saddened to hear that the beloved Nuggets, teammates, and person, Wayne Cooper who is not alive between us. Crushed to hear that Cooper died on Monday, April 11, 2022. The news of Cooper’s death was confirmed by Nuggets. Well, the cause of his death is still unknown and it will be revealed after the autopsy report. He was one of the loving and experienced team members of his basketball team.

He will be sorely missed, and our thoughts are with his family at this time. Rest In Peace”. Since the news of Cooper’s passing was announced officially, his friends and fans were devastated and expressed their deep condolence to him.

Wayne Cooper born as Artis Wayne Cooper on November 16, 1956, in Milan Georgia. When he was retired, he was the Denver Nuggets all-time leader in blocks. Well, he was selected by the Golden State Warriors in the second round (40th overall) of the 1978 NBA draft. The talented player played forward-center from the University of New Orleans Cooper played in 14 NBA season from 1978 to 1992.

In his entire career, he has spent his life in several teams such as Warriors, Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets. Well, he had played 984 games in his entire career and scored a total of 7,777 points. During the gameplay of 1983 NBA Playoffs, in his first playoff appearance, Cooper played a key role in his team Trail Blazers turning the rival Seattle SuperSonics in the first round by averaging 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
