According to the report, His publisher HarperCollins said in the statement that Henry Patterson passed away on 9 April 2022, Saturday, at the of 92. He died at home in Jersey surrounded by his death. There is no information about his death cause. His family and friends are facing a difficult time.
How Did Henry Patterson Die?
Henry Patterson was born on 27 th July 1929, in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England to an English father and a Northern Irish mother. He was raised in Belfast until his mother remarried and he moved to Leeds. After two year stint of national service, He had been qualified as a teacher and started to write novels in his spare time. The writer got a £75 advance for his first novel, Sad Wind From the Sea, in 1959. Jonathan Lloyd, Patterson’s literary agent and president of Curtis Brown, said he was at Collins Publishers when it had received the Manuscript of The Eagle landed, and everyone knew it would become a classic.
Pattersons wrote 85 novels, predominantly thrilled and the espionage genre, Using the pseudonym Jack Higgins. He was best known for the 1975 novel The Eagle launched, during th second world war.
