The popular rapper “Black Rob” has passed away on Saturday at age 51. One of his close friends Mark Curry confirmed the news on his Instagram account. He shared a video where he states that “This is hard to share that Rob passed away an hour ago, this is difficult to share the news with his fans but I wanted to thank everyone for the donations”. The report has come that he has died due to kidney failure. Rob’s cause of death was not confirmed earlier, but his friend DJ posted on Instagram that Rob was facing some kidney issues for the past few days. Black Rob was a well-known American rapper who was popular after signing the “Bad Boy”.
The artist got popular after his song ‘Whoa!” which crossed Billboard Hot 100 in 2002 and became the biggest hit. Rob was the solo singer who ranked the 43rd on the Billboard Hot 100. Rob was born in East Harlem and he started following his passion for singing at the age of 12. Spoonie Gee and Slick Rick was his ideal in the singing industry. He got an offer to perform his first rap at the age of 22. In 1996, he joined the “Bad Boy” and released a remix “Come See Me”. Rob has released many singles for Bad Boy such as “Love Like This”, “What About Us”, “24 Hours To Live”, “The Notorious B.I.G”. He worked for other albums such as “Da Dirty 30”.
He has released many albums bypassing each year and some of his popular releases were “P.Diggy”, “G.Dep”. His debut album was the flop one on the Billboard Hot 100. Rob left the “Bad Boy” in 2005 and signed by The Block Entertainment in 2010. He released “Game Tested”, “Streets Approved” which made him rank 44th in the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012. In April, Rob’s friend posted on Instagram about his health and confirmed that Rob is suffering from kidney issues. His friends Mike Zombie and Curry started a GoFundMe to raise the funds so he can pay his hospital bills. Curry confirmed on Instagram that Rob has been released
from the hospital and they are going to see him soon. Then he shared a video where he stated that Rob was put on dialysis. After this, Curry shared a second video on Instagram that “The GoGundMe will help Rob to pay medical bills and find a place to live on these hard times. This is my initiative to help him as we cannot lose him”. They have raised a good amount for Rob to survive but on Saturday he passed away from Kidney Failure.
