Delhi’s government and private schools are going to re-open for all the classes from Monday, November 1, 2021. According to the official sources, no more than 50% capacity in the classroom will be available, said Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister. The schools will open from Nursery classes to Class 12 and no students will be forced to go to school and the students can also choose to continue their classes through online classes.

The official announcement was made after the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, DDMA meeting. The health of the students will be voluntary and the parents are also not allowed to send their children to school because the classes will also be held in hybrid mode in which offline and online classes are going on at the same time.

Delhi’s School, Colleges Reopen From November 1

Delhi’s schools have been closed since March 2020 when the case of Covid-19 started to rise and the whole country faced a long lockdown. Along with this, the Ministry said that no more than 50% of students of the school will be called to attend the classes in school at a time. While the school will have to ensure that the whole management or staff of the school is totally vaccinated. First, the students from 9th to 12th classes were allowed in the school for attending classes.

Recently, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) met in Delhi to check or review the situation of Delhi’s Covid-19, in which the health secretary of the city and other officials has announced to make vaccination compulsory for traveling in metro trains and entry into malls.

  • The school will be worked at only 50% of capacity
  • Parental control would be necessary to come to school.
  • Education Department will have to ensure that the CAB of the students and the teachers, staff, and transportation of the staff and students are 100% vaccinated with two doses.
  • Along with this, almost 90% of staff of the school have been vaccinated with at least 1 dose.

According to the latest report of the Health Ministry, 41 new cases in Delhi were reported in the last day, and no single death was reported in the last four consecutive days. While, the positivity rate has been decreased and the rate is at 0.08 percent, as per the latest report.
