Cult Members Arrested
The police command on Friday to arrest those culprits and the police started searching for them in the state they found six in the state itself but one was found in the Auchi Etsako West at LGBE road of the state. The name of these culprits is Charles Odiase, 52, Okoh Peter, 68, Osazee Solomon, 35, Godswill Obasohan, 25, Andrew Owhoyavwosa, 22 & Joseph Meshak. The six were found in the community of Ekowe and the Ekiadolor sector. The arrest is made to do an investigation of the excessive killing of people in the state and cultism in Edo State. The seven people are now under custody and the investigation is going on.
On 2nd July 2022, the Edo state police command operatives suspected cultists at the youth house of the community and they also found an aid box, cowries, kola nut eggs, dead chicken, and seven handsets with some cash which is a total of thirty-seven thousand nairas. Its been found that the culprits were trying to escape from the police but the officers tracked their live location and arrest them. They found illegal weapons with them in which one of them was a single-barreled gun and one cartridge with other items.
