Due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in the country, some of the states are facing night curfew till 4th May. The board exams of class 10th and 12th have been postponed in each state and now the Jammu Kashmir government has also decided to close the educational institutes till 15th May. The decision has been taken after the rapid change in the coronavirus case. The state has recorded more than 1,50,000 cases till 19th April. The Lieutenant-General of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha held a meeting on Sunday where he announced that the student’s safety should be our first priority so the school, colleges, and universities will be closed till 15th May. Like any other state,
the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education has also announced that the board exams of the 10th class and 12th class will be postponed. The state will examine the situation then the final examination date will be announced. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor has announced this by Twitter. The central government has announced the lockdown till 26th May as they have recorded the 19,000 new cases every day. They have broken their own record from the past few days with the new record of 24,376 new coronavirus cases on Sunday. They have also recorded 167 deaths in the last 24 hours. The case positivity rate in Delhi is 24.56%.
Jammu & Kashmir has also instructed that the passengers who are travelling whether by air, train, and road have to submit a negative coronavirus report. This is mandatory for each passenger to take a report of their test through the prescribed methods. The schools and universities will remain closed till the 15th of May in Jammu & Kashmir. The Delhi Government has announced to postpone the exams of 10th and 12th class till the May. Delhi Chief Minister held a meeting in the morning and announced the complete lockdown till 26th April. They will examine the situation in the state to take the appropriate actions.
Earlier they announced the night curfew on the weekends and people can use the e-card while going to their workplaces. Public places such as gyms, shopping malls will also remain closed till 4th May. There will be only 20 people allowed to attend any indoor function and 100 people in the outdoor venue. The passengers can travel in minibusses are strictly ordered to maintain one seat gap.
