A big blast for soda or soft drink lovers. Regular drinks are causing early death. Shocking! According to new research published this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association, revealed that the sugar-sweetened or artificially-sweetened drinks are very dangerous and cause early death. Drinking more than 2 glasses of diet drinks can be dangerous to your health and a higher risk of mortality than those who are consuming less than one glass of drink.

Senior author, Neil Murphy from the International Agency for Research on Cancer in France said-“We found that higher soft drink intake was associated with a greater risk of death from any cause regardless of whether sugar-sweetened or artificially-sweetened drinks are consumed.”

In a study, 451,743 men and women from ten countries in Europe were tested and found that drinking 2 or more glasses of artificially sweetened drinks can positively cause early mortality and for sugar-sweetened beverages, one or more glass a day can cause death from digestive diseases, liver problems, appendix, pancreas, and intestines.

Neil Murphy said that- “In our study, high soft drinks consumers had a higher body mass index (BMI) and were also more likely to be current tobacco smokers. we made statistical adjustments in our analyses for BMI, smoking habits, and other mortality risk factors which may have biased our results, and the positive associations remained.”

Sweetened drinks are the primary source of adding sugar to your diet as per the American Heart Association. Sugar is the root cause of many diseases, and in this case, it is causing mortality. More sugar in your diet gives you serious issues like Diabetes, Heart diseases, and many more. To keep alive and healthy, you must skip soft-drinks. Consume less amount of drink to be fit and healthy. Do regular exercise, skip sugar from your diet, and eat fruits, vegetables to live long.
