Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s Mission Mangal, Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer action thriller Saaho and Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha’s last Friday released Sahoo are giving stiff competition to each other at the ticket window. All three movies have divided the audience as it provided the audience with three different and good options. All three films are doing well at the box office. Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial romantic comedy-drama movie Chhichhore is winning the hearts of the audience with its lovely storyline that delivers a good message. The rom-com drama movie was released on 6th September 2019 and received a decent opening of Rs 7.32 crore and generated impressive business in weekdays as well.
Sushant and Shradhha starrer Chhichhore earned Rs 12.25 crore and Rs 16.41 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively, leading the total first-week box office collection to Rs 35.98 crore. The film is standing strong with the total six-days box office collection of Rs 61.33 crore. The good word of mouth also attracting more and more viewers into the theaters which are contributing to the decent box office business. The movie is expected to end its first week on a high note.
On the other hand, the most expensive Indian action movie, Saaho, which is made under the huge budget of Rs 350 crore, is performing great at the box office. Despite receiving negative reviews from film critics along with poor ratings, Prabhas and Shraddha starrer is generating great box office business. The film which was released on 30th August 2019, opened up with Rs 24.4 crore. The Hindi version of the movie made it into Rs 100 crore club within its first week. The action thriller earned Rs 116.03 crore as its first-week box office collection. Now, the Hindi version of the movie is looking forward to making it into Rs 200 crore club. However, Saaho faced a major dip in box office collection in its second week.
Akshay and Vidya’s Mission Mangal that hit the theatres on 15th August 2019, Independence Day, is all set to enter in Rs 200 crore club. The film grossed Rs 128.16 crore within its first week (8 days). Mission Mangal raked Rs 49.95 crore as its second-week box office collection while it collected Rs 15.03 crore in its third week. The movie is standing with the total box office collection of Rs 198.30 crore. The will soon touch the mark of Rs 200 crore.
