A piece of very shocking news hitting the internet that CBI on Monday turning on full swing. The CBI launched parallel raids in which they arrested TMC heavyweights and ministers Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, and MLA Madan Mitra. The reason behind the arrest is the Narada Sting case in which they all are found accused by the CBI. After the CBI arrested those personalities then Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached the CBI office within few hours. Not only those personalities, but former Kolkata Mayor Sovan Chatterjee was also arrested by the CBI in the same case.
All the leaders were taken to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office for the investigation but later the officers arrested them. Let us also tell you that CBI got the permission for prosecution of TMC leaders from Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar a few days ago. After every arrest, the officials regularly update the networks about the investigation. The accurate timing of the arrest was also revealed by the CBI officers and currently, further interrogation is running to find more clues related to the Narada Sting Case.
If we talk about the timing of the arrest then CBI finally arrests Bengal ministers Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee and MLA Madan Mita at 12:10 PM. After that CBI also arrested former Kolkata Mayor and TMC leader Sovan Chatterjee in the same case. RC Joshi, Chief Information Officer said “CBI arrested 4 then ministers (Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, Madan Mitra, and Sovan Chatterjee) of West Bengal government in a case related to Narada sting operation. CBI had registered a case on April 16, 2017, on orders of Calcutta High Court”. On the same day, CBI reached many places to arrest everyone who involved in the case.
The tapers were allegedly made against all four ministers when they were ministers in the Mamata Banerjee cabinet in 2014. The Narada sting tapes were finally made public in 2016 before the elections in West Bengal and after that people allegedly standing against the MPs and MLAs who receiving money from companies. Later, the case takes lots of turns because Firhad Hakim said that he did not mind the prosecution because he has full faith in the judiciary. Otherwise, he got a clean chit and the BJP trying to malign his image and career. Now, all the four leaders are arrested by the CBI and we will update all the information here.
