Six-Time BJP Legislator and Former Minister of Karnataka, C M Udasi passed away at the age of 85 on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. According to the reports, the main reason for his death was age-related health issues and C M Udasi took his last breath at the private hospital in Bengaluru. C.M Udasi represented the Constituency of Hangal in the district of Haveri and also, served himself as the minister in 2008 in the government of B S Yediyurappa. He was a great leader in the BJP party and served as a great man in his life. His contribution will never be forgotten.
As per the information, Udasi was under treatment for the last 15 days related to his kidney and heart-related problems. He was admitted to the Narayan Hrudayalaya, as per the family members. He was survived by his daughter, wife, and son Shivakumar Udasi, who also represented the Haveri in a BJP Parliament and he was a member of one of them.
Along with his politicals life, Udasi also was a socialist movement, and in 1983, he was the first elected as an independent legislator from Hangal and contesting the seat with the symbol of Janata Part. C M Udasi, his full name was Channabasappa Mahalingappa Udasi. The name of C M Udasi was also known by a few people.
When Janata Dal divided into JD (U) and JD (Secular), so he decided to become a part of JD(U) in 1999. When he joined the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2004, and left the Saffron Part and started following Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa launched the Karnataka Janta Party in the year of 2013.
As the nominee of KJP, he lost against the Congress part leader Manohar Tahasildar. Later, he came back to the BJP with B.S. Yediyurappa and took the seat back in the year 2018.
Along with this, C M Udasi was also too close to the former Chief Minister Lt. J.H Patil. As a part of the ministry, C M Udasi also served as a minister of rural development and Panchayati Raj including minister for handlooms and textiles, minister of minor irrigation, and also, as public work department. Later, C M Udasi was the cabinet colleague of some former chief ministers like Ramakrishna Hegde, Yediyurappa, and J H Patil.
On the death of C M Udasi, many former ministers and leaders showed their condolence on his death including HD Deve Gowda, DK Shivakumar, and some other leaders of Karnataka. Many tweets have posted on social media related to the death of C M Udasi and many people are showing their condolence and sorrow on his death. He will be remebered by his loved ones.
