Padmavati, now named as Padmaavat is the movie based on the history of Rajasthan. The movie Padmaavat is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Queen of Mewar, Padmavati, who was so beautiful and good looking. She was the wife of Ratan Singh, King of Mewar. Padmavati was so generous but also had so much of self-respect. Alauddin Khilji, A Mughal King hears about the beauty of Padmavati and wishes to meet her but Ratan Singh denies. So Alauddin Khilji decides to capture the Fort of Mewar and then Padmavati will belong to him. Deepika Padukone is seen as Padmavati and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. Shahid Kapoor is playing the role of Ratan Singh.
The movie is releasing on 25 January all over India with the help of the order of the Supreme Court. Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh is still opposing the release of the movie and warned the cineplex if they will show the movie then they will burn the theatres. Ladies of Rajasthan have signed a paper that they will commit Jauhar if the movie will be released and earlier they demanded cuts in the movie which Sanjay Leela Bhansali agreed to do but still the people are so angry.
The budget of the movie is 200 crores and it is one of the most expensive movies made in India. Earlier it was supposed to release in Dec 2017 and would have made millions of fans worldwide and did great business but because of these controversies, a fine is not able to get screening. Tomorrow will be the first collection day of Padmaavat, it is expected that the movie will cross 100 crores on the first day itself as fans are eagerly waiting for this movie and bookings are overloaded.
